We were planning to go snorkeling but unfortunately the sun got to hot, so we took a dip off the back of the boat. After beginning to lose interest with that, Stasia decided to open up the gate from the second level of the boat for us to jump off of. The two most noticeable jumps were by far Ty's 900 and Jesse’s cannonballs which made monstrous splashes, some of which reached the second floor. While cruising to our anchor point we came along a pod of Bottle Nosed dolphins. The dolphins were lazily swimming along the front of the boat, which would push the dolphins along. After a few moments being pushed by the boat, all but one of the dolphins left, the laziest of the dolphins decided to show off, a little before leaving by swimming upside down. Later on during the night at around 8: 30 pm Brandon, Josh, Jesse, Cheryl, Ty, Ayden, Devin, Tyler, and Roselyn decided to pick on Sophie which was quite amusing. Devin’s randomly paced “Shut up”’s and Brandon’s bug spray we the corner stone of the amusement. After about an hour of tormenting Sophie, Stasia came upstairs and placed a whoopee cushion on Roselyn’s chair. After the
laughter had died down Stasia organized an evening lesson on astronomy. We
headed up to the viewing deck and the stars were beautiful. She began to talk to us about astronomy. She
pointed out the constellations in the sky with a cool green laser, we
discussed nebulas and were able to view through the binoculars a couple of
star clusters. We were hoping to see the Southern Cross but unfortunately
it wasn’t out. Stasia talked about Proximus Centauri, the closest star
to the earth, excluding our sun, at 4.2 light years
away. After the show most of us went to bed. It was a great day. |
