Pre-Day 1

We arrived at the airport to find our flight to Seattle had been cancelled due to mechanical problems. But Mr. Ruryk, being the magician he is, performed some serious magic and conjured some flights after intense negotiations. Therefore, this is how things turned out:

Point One –We split the group and half the group flew to LA that night. (And got to tour Hollywood)

Point Two- Group two didn’t get go to Hollywood and flew out the next morning at 8 am.

Group one arrived in LA, checked in to their hotel, and found a limo to take them on a tour of Hollywood. Then they went back to the hotel and fell straight asleep. (The next day they all wore the Hollywood shirts that they’d bought.)

Day 1
We met up at LAX airport. The rest of the airport journies passed uneventfully, except for two girls who unfortunately lost their luggage.  We flew from LA to Loreto. Unfortunately the only way we were able to make the trip was to fly into Loreto instead of Cabo which is only a 2.5 hour drive to La Paz. We then got on the buses that the lovely Panterra people had arranged for us and drove almost six hours to La Paz. The drive was really beautiful, and we saw cows, horses, goats and donkeys, oh yeah and one turkey hanging around the "bano".
Cultural Experience #1: Our pit stop. Interesting roadside bathrooms, "banos".
When we arrived at La Paz, we went to the marina and boarded the Fiesta. We settled in to our cabins and ate supper, then explored the boat as it departed the marina.
