No whales today but a very beautiful sunset to end a pretty amazing day.

Once again, another beautiful day in the sun. We started off the day by taking another morning swim while waiting for the fishing village to bring in their day's catch.  Once the catch was in we went to visit this really neat little village, kids collected shells, got a quick education on how to gut a fish and poked around in the days catch.
We met a few families and each were given a bag full of soaps, shampoo/creme rinse, toothpaste and more. Mrs. English and Mr. Barth gave the main family an extensive first aid kit to include antibiotics, cold medicine thermometers, and a ton more of stuff. It was pretty nice. Then we looked at the jewelry made by the locals. Yes, we spent a little cash on the handmade jewelry.
The remainder of the midday was spent swimming, sun tanning and relaxing on the boat.  After lunch we headed out to explore life in the mangroves. We meandered through the canal into the lagoon. Walked along the beach for awhile beachcombing and then headed back to the boat. In the late afternoon we went out whale watching, but saw nothing.

Norma and Esther once again amazed us with their cooking skills, no extras were left. After supper, when the sun had set, Stasia gave us an astronomy lesson. She used a laser to point out stars and constellations in the sky, and we were lucky enough to see 3 shooting stars. It was a pretty amazing day.
