Daily JournalSpirit of AdventureDay 2 - Photo Journal |
![]() We started our day with a visit to Isla Pardito. ![]() As we land on shore one of the fishing boats come in. |
![]() The day's catch included sharks and stingrays. ![]() On the island were a collection of whale ribs. So we poked through the pile in awe of the size of the ribs. ![]() The remainder of the bones, skulls and vertebras could be found neatly arranged in front of one of the homes. ![]() Ricardo, one of the fishermen, starts filleting the catch of the day. |
![]() On the days adventure we come across a dead humpback whale. ![]() We decided to take a closer look. ![]() JP and Kendra get right up close. |
![]() As a nurse, Kendra dons a pair of surgical gloves and feels around. ![]() Followed by Kim. ![]() The late afternoon called for kayaking, swimming and snorkeling. |
![]() JP suggests to Ruslan and Jerome to check out the rocks for a great view of the fish. ![]() Once ashore everyone gets ready for their snorkel. ![]() A Chocolate Chip seastar. |
![]() King Angelfish. ![]() A school of Mexican Goatfish. |
![]() Deb and Caroline chillax after their snorkel. ![]() A blue whale is spotted blowing right off the bow of the boat. |
The whale lets us get close enough to hear it blow (exhale/inhale) all in one breath. |
![]() The huge length of it's back. |
![]() It flukes and disappears after several sequences of blows and dives. We ended this amazing day of adventure with a blue whale encounter. How many people can say that!!!!!!!!!!! |
