Summer Cruise for Teachers

Day 3 - part 1 - Photo Gallery

Donna and Beverly brought gifts for the
kids of the communities we would be visiting.

When we landed on the shores of the community of Los
Burros we were greeted by some of the community members.

We headed out to explore and
distribute the gift packs we had made up.

Maria Lousia receives a couple of bags of sewing material,
needles, elastic and accessories donated by Doris Grout of Calgary.

This community has an abundance of beautiful butterflies.

We visited a couple of homes in our exploration. The homes
in this particular community are so colorful and well maintained.

We head down the path to another home.

We were being stalked by this dangerous but beautiful lizard.
(I'm just making this stuff up really)

We arrived at the home to find the beds on the
porch and one of the kids swinging in a hammock.

The mom was sewing while...

... dinner was cooking on the fire.

Once back at the boat some of the group went swimming and snorkeling.

I asked Amanda to fake a jellyfish sting so she played it up. Five minutes

later she was still carrying on and when I told I had finished shooting photos

she told me it was for real. She got stung!

Most of us went kayaking. The scenery was so surreal.

We donned our snorkel gear and went out exploring.
