We started our morning at 7:30a.m in Stasia’s Bay. After
a fabulous breakfast we headed out for Skink Trail. This trail was full of
adventure. Along the way we encountered many sorts of creatures. We saw
lizards of much variation of size, color and type. The Zebra Tailed Lizard
was very photogenic, it put up with us amazingly. Who would of guessed
that there is so many different types of cactuses on such a small island.
We saw; Teddy Bear Cholla Cactus, Cardon Cactus, Prickly Pear Cactus, Old
Man Cactus and Strawberry Pincushion Cactus. Each cacti was unique in it’s
own way. It’s incredible how these plants manage to survive in an
environment that’s so hot.
