Journey of Giving - Medical Expedition

Day 3 - Part 2

A Little Rest and Chillaxation and the Tinworth Family

After Los Burros we all decided to take a dip.

Stasia and crew included.

A few donned snorkel gear and others just chillaxed.
Look at how crystal clear the water was.

The entire team at play.

Our next stop was Las Cuevas where community members from
Nopolo, Las Cuevas and Punta Alta gathered for the healthcare services.

Before we get into the medical/dental side of things I would like to
share with you the joy of what a simple thought of bringing toys on this trip did.

These are the recipients of the last of the gift giving. In the picture are
the children from all 3 communities and Bob, Liz and Liam Tinworth.

Liz started out by distributing frisbees that
came with a "design your own frisbee" theme.

There were about a dozen children all busy at work designing
there own frisbee. It was cool to watch Liz engaged with the kids.

Once the frisbees were designed the
kids spent the next hour playing with them.

Pooped out, they all finally take a break.

Next on the agenda was bubble blowing.

Bob took this and ran with it. The kids loved it.

Bob would blow the bubbles and the kids would chase them.

Each kid received a bottle of bubbles.

They spent most of the time blowing
the bubbles while others chased the bubbles.

There were also toy buckets and a shovel.

How could you not appreciate what these toys do for the kids.
It doesn't change their lives, but for a moment their lives are enhanced.

Kraeg applies wash off tatoos of the Canadian flag.

Eduardo shows his off.

A little later Eduardo and Liam are found playing in the water.

As the last gesture of gifts, Liz gives this beautiful
little baby one of the small quilts she brought down.

The Tinworth family have been great Panterra supporters for many years. Bob, Liz, their 3 grown daughters, Amanda, Kristine and Samantha and their youngest son, Liam have been part of Panterra for the 5 or 6 years that we have known each other. They have always brought down gifts and participated in the Baja Gifts Program. This trip was the icing on the cake of their gift giving. I had totally overlooked kid stuff which was the only oversight of the project, but somehow they came to Panterra's rescue. I had no idea that they were bringing down toys. What a blessing!

Thank you for making every child's eyes light up with your gifts. It made the Journey of Giving whole.

Children are our greatest natural resource. It doesn't matter where in the world they are.

Lela
