Sunset on a day of adventure.

Day three! Also known as the adventure day to me...

Day three was fun. We started out the day calm and saw a sea lion (named ZitZev) playing around two pelicans (one named François). After that we had breakfast, it was the most normal one that we had so far. We had bacon and pancakes, and cereal, its good to have a little bit of home cooking when you're surrounded by a different culture. Then we were entertained by Lela the comedian with her Special K impression (A must see for all those who meet her). Then we were off on a new adventure to the salt pans of San Evaristo. There we saw wild donkeys, the salt pans of course, collected rocks, shells, starfish, and paper nautilis, and stopped by a graveyard dating back to the early 1800's.. The hike was nice and the view was beautiful!

After the long walk was lunch, we had Broccoli soup, crackers, macaroni salad, and this chicken salad. Mmm, yumm the cooks are amazing! After lunch we went on another walk, we found a beach that we named lone cactus beach because of the one cactus on top of an ark of rocks. As we explored the rocks Graham caught a crab which pinched his finger requiring Stasia to apply first aid (Polysporin and a bandaid).

On our way back we noticed these blobs all over the ground so we went up to them and poked at them. We found out that they where blunted sea hares. That’s when the rescuing began. As we walked along we picked them up and returned them to the ocean. There were quite a number of sea hares stranded.

After the long day finally dinner arrived. We had fish that was freshly caught as usual along veggies, rice and tortillas, and for dessert cake! To finish the day David, our two day guest, did a presentation on copper canyon. The pictures were amazing. David did a good job in telling us about it and his enthusiasm radiated all around him. Well done David. Thanks!
