Day 7 and 8

 Day 7

The morning was spent leisurely on the beach.

Some students snorkeled, some kayaked
while others explored the surrounding area.

The inflatable toys (alligator) are always a hit.

Aaron drags Altera around while he is snorkeling.

The Pargo from the day before is served for lunch.

Paloma, the cook, shows us how to dish it out.

Tortillas, lemon and the fish baked in onions, tomatoes and cheese.

We arrived back at the Marina and spent the rest of the day shopping and dinner out.

Day 8

Eva was chosen, because of her command of the Spanish
language, to say thank you and goodbye to the beautiful crew.

Christy and some of the other students hand out thank you gifts to the crew.
A very thoughtful thing to do.

Hat and T-shirt for the male crew members.

Eleazar, the engineer, is quite tickled to receive his gift.

Andrea hands out beautiful earrings to the cooks, Esther and Paloma.

Hugs and goodbyes!

Group picture on the bow of the ship.

Leaving the ship for the last time.

The crew brings the luggage to the marina front gate.

The students grab their bags and head up the ramp to the awaiting vans.

Unfortunately, the final goodbye.
We'll miss you. You were a great group of students!!!!!!

 Day 7

It’s our last day! It started bright and early at 2:00 am for a morning stargaze. The Milky Way was out and bright and so were many other constellations. After finally getting back to sleep, we were up again at 8:00 am for breakfast; a delicious meal of eggs, beans and tortillas.

After breakfast we explored Bonanza Beach. We kayaked, snorkeled, beach combed and sun bathed. We found a turtle skeleton and a goat skull while exploring the beach. We saw Scorpion Fish, a Zebra Eel, Rainbow Wrasses, Sally Lightfoots (Lightfeet?) and many more types of marine life. It was a lovely day. Once we headed back to the boat, we motored into La Paz.

During the trip to the harbor, we showered, slept, ate lunch, wrote tests and, of course, looked good while doing it. When we got to the marina we got off the boat and shopped on the Malecon. It was smoking hot out so we stopped for some refreshing ice cream, then went and shopped some more.

We returned to the boat for about an hour before heading back into town for dinner. We had a lovely dinner at Rancho Viejo, where we dined and listened to a Mariachi band. After dinner it was time to pack and get ready for our 18 hours of travel on the way home tomorrow.

Good-bye Panterra! Thank you for the great trip!

Andy Pandy, Olive Oil and Peli Rojo.
