Baseball bat gloves and balls. Skipping ropes and frisbees. A huge assortment of school supplies. |
| 28 gifts bags were assembled. The first community to be visited was Ensenada de Cortez. Community members greeted us as we arrived. Earlier in the season a group had brought a glove and ball to donate and it was given to the younger brother of the young man in this picture. He was very disappointed that his younger brother received the gift but said nothing. I had seen the look on his face and realized we should have given the ball and glove to the older brother. So I phoned Randy (the teacher of this group) and asked him if he could ask the students if anyone had a bat, ball and glove kicking around that they would like to donate and this is how this young man received the gifts in the picture. Thanks Jenna and Randy! |
| Carlin, Haley, Katrina and Jenna hand out their gift bags. Kaitlyn gives hers.
|
| John gives his. Jenna gives hers. |
| Laura and Randi give theirs. A young recipient of a gift bag.
|
| As we left the community members walked us to the pangas and waved goodbye as we left. The next community visited was Palmo Solo. |
| The kids anxiously awaited our arrival. Streater gives this beautiful young girl her gift bag. Jenna gives hers. Melissa gives hers. Kelly gives hers. Fabbie gives hers. We had enough gifts bags left over that the group was kind enough to give the crew gift bags for their children as well. |

From my heart, and the hearts of the recipients of your
gifts, I would like to thank the Hilltop group for your thoughtfulness in
participating in the Baja Gifts Program and the generosity in the
tremendous number of gifts you brought down. We are all very touched by
your kindness! |
