Journey of Giving
|
| We had accumulated a considerable amount of material donations. The trick was to organize them in three piles. |
| Toys for the younger kids. Backpacks for the older kids. |
| Clothing for all ages of the family as well as hand sewn quilts. A suitcase of 100+ pairs of glasses was also a part of the donations. |
| Liz had brought down a beautiful walker with wheels for an elderly lady who happened to be in the hospital in La Paz. She was expected to be home in a week or so. What an amazing gift to come home to! The recipient of the gifts were Nopolo, Las Cuevas, Punta Alto, Ensenada de Cortez and Palmo Solo. |

We had over 12 suitcases of donations ranging from
clothing to toys and quilts. We even a walker with wheels! Over 20
families prospered from these gifts. Thank you to all of you who donated
material items for this trip. The families who received these gifts will
be forever grateful and appreciative that you would think of them, as they
live in some of the most isolated communities we visit in our travels
through the Sea of Cortez. |
