Day 2 - part 1 - Photo Gallery

The day started with a dive at a sea lion haulout.

The crew head out to secure a stern anchor.
Notice the huge male in the right side of the picture.

The sea lions did not mind our presence, they were curious but didn't run.

Pelicans, Brown Boobies and Cormorants also hung out on the rocky islet.

A male sea lion swims by curiously.

Mike is first in.

The divers gather...

... then submerge.

A curious Moray eel looks on.

Feather tail stingray.

(I had never seen one until now)

A sea lion darts by but Mike was able to get a quick picture.

The crew helps the divers out. It was a great dive!

After lunch we headed to the beach for an afternoon snorkel.

Samantha and Laura head out exploring.

Three Banded Butterfly fish.

Panterra participants gather... oh sorry it's a school of Goatfish.
(now was that necessary!)

Sammy dives to take a closer look...

... at a Bullseye stingray.

Okay, don't get me wrong, but doesn't it make better sense to snorkel
with your head underwater and your feet up. I guess that's just my thinking!

Orange-sided Triggerfish.

King Angelfish.

Giant sea cucumber.

After our snorkel a few of us decided to go beachcombing.

There was so much to see and possible treasures to collect.

The skeletal remains of a foot long Balloonfish.
